Axis Core To Universal Device License Upgrade For Axis Camera Station

Users can upgrade their existing Axis Core Device Licenses to an Axis Universal Device License. This is primarily used when users are changing from an Axis device to a third party device, only Axis Universal Device Licenses will support third party devices.

The Axis Universal Device Licenses are for use with the Axis Camera Station Video Management Software. The Universal Device license upgrade will also support Axis Camera Station, version 5 and above. Each license enables 1 supported third party device to be used alongside the VMS.

Available as a single license, or packs of 4, 10 or 20, the licenses are delivered to users as a printed code in an enclosed envelope, enabling users to store the hard copy securely if required. Delivery of these could take up to 3-5 working days.

If you have Axis Camera Station 4 and below (not Core) you will need to purchase the Axis ACS4 to Universal Device License Upgrade for Axis Camera Station. Alternatively, e-license upgrades are available. 

Please note, that from version 5.17, users will now be able to use an unlimited number of Core Device License and will no longer be required to purchase Universal Licenses when exceeding 32 cameras. The Universal licenses will only be required for third party devices.
