The Axis M1055-L is a cost-effective box camera that has been designed with privacy and security in mind. Axis Live Privacy Shield makes it easy to remotely monitor activities whilst protecting privacy and built-in cybersecurity features help to prevent unauthorised access and safeguard the system. Not only this but Axis Edge Vault protects your Axis device ID and simplifies authorisation of Axis products on the network and signed firmware and secure boot guarantees that the firmware hasn’t been compromised and ensures only authorised firmware is installed. 

The M1055-L provides excellent image quality with its HDTV 1080p resolution which is further enhanced by Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) which enables users to see details even in scenes with light and dark areas. The IR-corrected lens enables users to enjoy professional video quality both day and night. As well as this the camera features a 3.16mm focal length providing users with a 103° horizontal field of view. This enables users to mount the camera in corners and receive complete coverage. 

The deep learning processing unit (DLPU) enables advanced features and powerful analytics based on deep learning on the edge. Thanks to Axis Object Analytics including time in area feature, it lets users track whether an object stays in a defined area longer than a user-defined time. 

Features Explained:

– WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) helps to ensure that camera images are usable and clear. In some scenes, there can be a contrast between the darkest and brightest spots in a scene, this can cause the image to be under or overexposed making it difficult, even impossible to identify objects and people. WDR technology can help rectify this issue, producing clear images regardless of difficult light scenarios. 

– Zipstream preserves all the important forensic details users need whilst lowering storage and bandwidth requirements and costs but an average of 50%. 

– Built-in Cybersecurity features have been created and applied to counter different types of cyber attacks, effectively battle vulnerabilities and prevent unauthorised access to users’ systems. These features are able to detect firmware tampering and prevent device replacement, this safeguards the system and helps reduce the risk of digital attacks.
