Axis M7116 16 Channel Network Video Encoder 02036-003

The Axis M7116 is a 16 channel network video encoder that is used to migrate analogue systems to IP surveillance. The cost-effective encoder supports all types of standard resolution analogue cameras, including PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) options.

Providing customers with a solution to convert their analogue set-up to an IP system, the M7116 digitizes NTSC/PAL video to deliver high-quality video at 30 frames per second across all sixteen channels. Users can also access and view the live streams via the M7116 system remotely on any browser or computer meaning out of hours surveillance is completely achievable. 

Thanks to the RS-485 port, users can also control analogue PTZ cameras which helps to support the cost-effective nature of the M7116, no need to purchase expensive, new IP PTZ cameras. 

Using AXIS Zipstream technology which supports H.264/H.265 video compression the Axis M7116 drastically reduces bandwidth and storage requirements. The compact M7116 is also rack-mounted which enables large volumes of analogue cameras to be integrated within an IP based, high-density video surveillance system.

The Axis M7116 features built-in cybersecurity to help prevent unauthorised access and safeguard your system. Axis Edge Vault protects your Axis device ID and simplifies the authorisation of Axis products on your network. Furthermore, signed firmware guarantees that the firmware has not been compromised and ensures only authorised firmware is installed whilst secure boot ensures the device is completely free of malware even after factory default. 

Please note, when being used with Axis Camera Station, users will only require one license for the encoder, and therefore one license for up to 16 channels in total.
