Axis P8815-2 3D People Counting Camera Black 01787-001

The Axis P8815-2 is a 3D People Counter network camera. It combines stereoscopic imaging with 3D analytics to provide reliable people counting even in challenging conditions. Ideal for use in retail, museums and hospitality sectors, users will gain valuable insights in to visitor trends allowing them to optimize their business operations. 

Images are provided by two sensors to generate a 3D depth map for real-tie counting of people passing through a pre-defined area. This allows the P8815-2 to determine the size and height of moving objects, enabling taller objects (people) to be distinguished by smaller objects such as carts, strollers and shadows. 

The P8815-2 is able to provide accurate results even in challenging conditions where sunlight, shadows, glares or high footfall could cause difficulties. It can also perform well in areas with revolving doors or unconventional entrances. Furthermore, the P8815-2 supports simultaneous counting of people passing opposite directions and the user can also flexibly define the counting area to suit specific entrances.

There are flexible mounting options for the P8815-2. Users can mount at entrances to monitor the footfall on given days and times. They can also mount strategically at places of interest within the location to monitor and better understand the flow of people in the area. This data can be used to help users optimize their business operations buy identifying people visitor times, allocating staff optimal and evaluating the overall site performance. This data can also be sent to Axis Store Data Manager for further analytics.
