Geovision GV-VD8700-FR 8MP Face Recognition Dome Camera

The Geovision GV-VD8700 is an 8MP varifocal dome camera with built-in, intelligent IR LEDs effective up to 40m. This camera is protected by IP66-rated weatherproof housing and IK10 vandal-resistant housing. A great choice for external and internal applications, the GV-VD8700 has a 3-axis mechanism allowing it to be panned, tilted, and rotated to meet users’ needs.

This camera uses a range of features to provide excellent image quality day and night: backlight compensation, wide dynamic range, defog with the ability to adjust brightness, contrast, saturation and more. It also uses a range of video analytics including motion detection, tampering alarm, face detection and face recognition.

The built-in facial recognition technology allows users to identify personnel from a database remotely. 10,000 face profiles can be defined within the database and can be useful for corporate, customer service or security needs. The mechanism is effective up to 4m away and can identify up to 10 people simultaneously.

The GV-VD8700 supports onboard storage and uses H.265 compression to provide excellent savings on storage and bandwidth usage.
