The Hikvision DS-2CD2387G2-LU (C) is the first 8-megapixel turret network camera to feature in the ColorVu range. Available in 2.8mm and 4mm fixed lenses, featuring AcuSense technology and a built-in microphone the turret camera will provide an ideal solution for a wide range of applications.
With ColorVu technology, the DS-2CD2387G2-LU (C) provides excellent, high-quality images day and night, even at zero light levels. With thanks to the F1.0 super aperture and advanced lenses, the camera is able to collect more light and provide brighter, colourful images. It also features built-in supplement lighting in the form of warm white LED lights which can reach a range of up to 30m.
Other features such as 130 dB WDR (Wide Dynamic Range), BLC (Backlight Compensation), HLC (Highlight Compensation) and 3D DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) also help the DS-2CD2387G2-LU (C) to produce clear and crisp images even if the light is challenging or contrasting.
AcuSense technology uses deep learning algorithms to successfully determine humans and vehicles to improve alarm efficiency. In turn, it greatly reduces the number of false alarms that were previously triggered by foliage, heavy rainfall, pets and wildlife to name a few. The deep learning function enables face capture, line crossing detection, intrusion detection, region entrance detection and region exiting detection whilst being able to determine the difference between humans and vehicles.
Users can mount the DS-2CD2387G2-LU (C) indoors or outdoors thanks to its IP67 water and dust resistant rating. Onboard the mini dome is a slot for a microSD/SDHC/SDXC memory card for onboard recording. It also features a built-in microphone that can record sounds up to 5 metres away. This is ideal for surveillance in close proximity such as driveways, garages and courtyards.
We recommend the DS-2CD2387G2-LU (C) is powered via POE (Power over Ethernet) for ease of installation as only one cable is required to provide the mini-dome with both power and data connections. However, if required the camera can be powered by 12V DC. Please note that a power supply is not included with the purchase but we have listed our recommended option in the Frequently Brought Together section above.
It is now possible to trigger the white light via VCA events. For more information please see our How-To Guide on our Technical Forum
