Hikvision DS-2DF8225IX-AEL(T5) 8″ 2MP 25x Darkfighter Speed Dome Camera

The Hikvision DS-2DF8225IX-AEL(T5) is a PTZ Speed Dome network camera powered by DarkFighter technology to provide excellent images even in darkness. With a 2MP resolution and 25x optical zoom capabilities, users will experience great detail over expansive areas.

Featuring smart IR supplement lighting which can reach up to 400m, as well as 140 dB Wide Dynamic Range, and 3D Digital Noise Reduction the DS-2DF8225IX-AEL(T5) can adapt to various challenging light scenarios and still provide high-quality images.

Rated IP67 the PTZ is suitable for outdoor use, as is can withstand adverse weather conditions as well as dirt and dust. It has also been rated IK10 against impact, meaning it can withstand up to 20 joules on impact (apart from the glass window). These ratings make the speed dome series the perfect choice for a wide variety of areas that require high-definition results such as rivers, roads, railways and parks.

The DS-2DF8225IX-AEL(T5) is equipped with a number of useful smart features to enhance the users’ security and surveillance setup. These include:

– Face Capture: Up to 30 faces can be detected at the same time. The camera supports detecting, capturing, tracking, grading and selecting a face in motion whilst providing the best picture of the captured face.

– Vehicle Detection: To support road traffic surveillance the PTZ supports the capturing of License Plates, Vehicle Models, and Vehicle Colour.

– Smart Events: Detection of unattended baggage, object removal, intrusion, line crossing, region entrance, region exiting, audio exception and a vandal-proof alarm.

– Basic Events: Motion detection, video tampering alarm, alarm input and output.

– Smart Tracking: Includes manual, panorama and event tracking. As well as supporting patrol tracking amongst multiple detection scenes.

– Smart Record: ANR and Dual-VCA.

– Alarm Linkage: Preset, patrol scan, pattern scan, memory card video recording, alarm output, sending email, notify surveillance center, upload to FTP, NAS video recording.

Please note that this camera does not come with a power supply unit. The camera can be processed by a 24V AC Power Supply Unit, however, for ease of installation, we recommend using POE where possible. Our recommended 60W POE injector can be found in our Frequently Brought Together section above.

The DORI Distance provides users with a general overview of the camera’s capability to distinguish people or objects within its field of view. It is calculated based on the camera sensor specification and the criteria given by EN 62676-4:2015.
