The Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2-8P is an 8 channel network video recorder with 8 PoE ports built in, making it simple and easy to set up you IP CCTV system. Once set up, simply connecting an IP camera to one of the built-in POE ports the NVR will provide the camera with power and Ethernet connection

Two way audio is supported by the DS-7608NI-I2-8P along with other features such as VCA detection alarm and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) support. With a HDMI and VGA output, a monitor can be easily connected for easy access to the NVR. Additionally the NVR can be accessed via Hik-Connect, i-VMS 4200 or a browser for simple remote access.

It is possible for the DS-7608NI-I2-8P to record cameras up to 12MP. Please note: If planning on using high resolution cameras from the latest Easy IP 4.0 range at maximum settings, we’d advise adding no more than four devices. The DS-7608NI-I2/8P NVR supports up to 80Mbs of bandwidth, unfortunately we’ve noticed that the 8MP, ColorVu / Live Guard / AcuSense cameras can use up to 20-25Mbps which means the NVR can only support 3-4 cameras of this type. This NVR has two spaces for hard drives and can hold a maximum of 20TB of storage providing ample storage capacity for an 8 camera system. This NVR will accept any capacity hard drive (HDD) currently available. Any maximum capacity stated on the manufacturer’s documents is simply based upon the maximum HDD size that was available at the time of release/publication.

Supporting H.265+ video compression, the DS-7608NI-I2/8P is able to reduce bandwidth usage, saving on storge and bandwidth requirements, without compromising the video quality.
