Smart functions embedded on the iDS-2CD71C5G0-IZS aid the user in assessing various data and using it to improve efficiency and effectiveness of their business and operations. These include:

• Face Counting: Using the embedded deep learning algorithms the iDS-2CD71C5G0-IZS counts people and samples their face features simultaneously to compare them with a built-in face library. Using the captured data users can achieve both entrance control and people counting.
• Hard Hat Detection: When installed in environments such as warehouse and indoor workshops where PPE is an integral part of staff safety, the iDS-2CD71C5G0-IZS can monitor and detect when people are not wearing hard hats in specified regions. This then reports an alarm to management.
• Multi-Target-Type Detection: As well as people and face counting, users can also collect identifiable features such as gender, age, and clothing colour.
• Queue Management: The iDS-2CD71C5G0-IZS  can recognise the number of people in a queue as well as the waiting time for each individual, beneficial for monitoring shop performance and peak customer flow periods. 
• Metadata: Allows for thirdt party application development. 
• Smooth Streaming: A solution to improve the video quality in different network conditions. For example, in poor network conditions, the streaming bit rate and resolution are automatically adjusted to avoid pixellation. 

The iDS-2CD71C5G0-IZS is rated IK10 which means it is classed as vandal resistant, ideal for use in areas where it could get knocked and damaged such as warehouse with large machinery, or shopping centers where it could be tampered with.
