Luxriot Vero FR 1 Channel License, 10,000 Faces

Luxriot LFC-V1-C is a 1 channel Vero Face Recognition license supporting up to 10,000 faces in the matching database. This software is a biometric facial recognition application that has been designed to work with Luxriot EVO video management platform. This industry leading technology provides exception system performance and reliability with real time face detection, concurrent multiple face recognition and instant face matching in 1-to-1 amd 1-to-many modes.

When adding images to the database Luxriot recommend:

– Using clear, sharp images 

– Using near-frontal, full face view images

– Not uploading images of side profiles

– Ensuring images are not distorted

– Faces upload have a neutral expression

– People occupy 50~100% of the screen height

– A minimum distance of 40 pixels between eyes, 50 is advisable for better recognition rates (this should be native not obtained by stretching the image)

– Minimum stream resolution is VGA, it needs to be the native resolution and not scaled up 

– Avoiding scenes where extraneous objects can distort the face 

They also note that users should consider that glasses can decrease the recognition accuracy, as can changes in appearance including; facial hair, hats, make up etc. 

Lighting conditions considerations: 

– Direct frontal light, or diffused lighting is recommend 

– Ensure the amount of light is not dependant on time of day or other environmental factors 

– Avoid additional illumination that can appear unpredictably

– Position any light sources in a way so that they won’t reflect brightly off of glasses and skin

Camera choice considerations: 

– Use either the same or very similar camera for both enrolment and identification images

– If the camera is set up to mirror the image, ensure that the faces have the same orientation across all images
