The P2230L-EW is a 2MP PTZ camera, with 30X optical and 12X digital zoom, designed as a part of Pelco’s Spectra Professional 2 series of Pan/Tilt/Zoom camera solutions.
This camera comes available in two dome options. Smoked dome (P2230L-EW0) and Clear dome (P2230L-EW1)

The Spectra Pro 2 series cameras are designed to offer a cost-effective, easy to install, and well equipped Pan/Tilt/Zoom solution, for wide area coverage ideal for a range of different application environments.

Cost Effective / Easy Installation – with wide angle coverage, and up to 360° continuous pan rotation, the P2230L is equipped to monitor large areas, where users would have previously required multiple cameras. This simplifies application, and reduces the cost of multiple cameras, instead allowing users to focus on a single PTZ.

Well Equipped – The P2230L also comes equipped with impressive image quality and enhnacement technologies, alongside embedded software features (including support for Pelco’s Professional Analytics suite), so that users achieve the most effective video surveillance experiance possible.

Environmental Resistance – As an environmental Pendant PTZ (-EW) the P2230L-EW offers a pendant mount design, with IP66 /67 Ingress protection, Type 4X (for windblown dust, water and corrosion resistance), and IK10 Impact rating, for the vandal and weather resistance necessary in outdoor applications.

Application Environments – 

Schools Equipped to cover wide outdoor areas, as well as large indoor spaces (like halls or corridors), the P2230L-EW provides 360° coverage without the need for PTZ management by a live operator.

Hotels With wide angle views and automated alerts, the P2230L can monitor settings with ease, and allows for the quick detection of crowding / possible suspicious activity using surveillance analytics.

Casinos Due to the requirement of fast and accurate PTZ capabilities on Gaming floors, the P2230L is also ideal for surveillance in Casinos. With impressive PTZ specs, and low latency, targets can be tracked with ease.

Image Quality

Designed with 2MP resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio, the P2230L-EW offers a maximum resolution of 1920×1080 for full HD image quality. It also comes equipped with Image Enhancement technologies, to improve footage quality in challenging environments and low lighting conditions. Supported features include:

EIS (Electronic Image Stabalization) – improves image quality and minimizes blurring during camera shakes, panning, or other movements that typically cause footage blur / instability

3D Noise Filtering (3DNR – 3D Noise Reduction) – reduces interruptions in image quality made by ‘noise’ (signals – transmitted audio, images, and video)

Backlight Compensation (BLC) – allows for improved performance in challenging lighting conditions, compensating for backlight and enhancing the camera’s exposure control

120dB WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) – improves image quality and detail in scenes with areas of harsh bright and dark lighting conditions

Pelco Pro Analytics Suite

Simple Motion Detection – Detects motion within the camera’s field of view, recording or sending an alarm if motion is detected within a selected zone or within the entire scene

Loitering Detection – Identifies when people or vehicles remain in a defined zone for too long. This is effective for monitoring suspicious behaviour, with real-time notifications

Audio Detection – Allows the user to define an audio intensity threshold to trigger surrounding audio

Object Counting – Counts the number of objects moving through defined virtual lines. 

Camera Sabotage – Detects unexpected changes in the camera’s field of view, triggering an alarm if the lens becomes obstructed or the camera is repositioned without authorisation
