Based on a deep-learning AI engine, capable of advanced accuracy, users are given access to a variety of features designed to make security systems more efficient and effective than ever before.

People Detection

With its advanced accuracy (showing vast improvements from traditional, rule-based designs) the use of Smart VCA greatly improves the effectiveness of a camera’s people detection ability –
Based on a database of human silhouettes, and rapid responses (via its pre-trained deep learning model) the smart engine can instantly recognise the appearance of a human form, and make a person an object of interest – no longer will camera users have to worry about accidental / harmless triggers like swaying leaves, animals, or rain, as these can now be ignored.
This feature also means that with Smart VCA, false alarms, and time / effort for camera configuration, can now be reduced, making your security system even more efficient than ever before.

Multiple Event Rules

The Smart VCA License also offers the use of multiple Event Rules, with analytics provided to detect intrusion, loitering, running, missing objects, unattended objects, crowds, and faces (more information on these features can be found below) designed to meet the requirements of most typical security applications.
Users should also note that they are able to equip multiple rules to a single camera view, so their security setup can always work to the best of its ability.

Line Crossing Detection

Running Detection

Unattended Object Detection

Detects when an object has been left unattended, or abandoned.

Example Applications –

– To detect boxes placed in front of an emergency exit.
– To detect objects left on railway tracks, a platform, bridge or in a bank lobby.

Missing Object Detection

Detects the removal of a pre-defined asset from the camera’s field of view

Example Application –

– In a campus setting, users can take advantage of the missing object detection to monitor high-risk areas (like admin offices, computer labs, science labs, ect) for theft

Face Detection

Used to detect and track faces within the camera’s field of view. These can then be used for monitoring or evidence purposes.

Crowd Detection

Used to identify the amount of people in a given area.

This feature is particularly useful in Store and Business environments, allowing users to manage customer congestion and social distancing.

– To detect when the amount of people in a given area has reached its limit, and trigger an alarm
– To monitor an area that has a strict limit to how many people there can be at one time.
